What's CapEx and Maintenance Reporting and what’s involved?

Capital Expenditure (CapEx) and Maintenance Reports are usually carried out to assess the existing condition of a property asset along with the future repairs, replacement and redecoration works that will be required over a period of time; normally a 10-year period. These reports are then used by property owners and building managers to accurately forecast and budget for the necessary capex and maintenance works.

The CapEx and Maintenance reporting process includes a documentation audit and thorough visual inspection of a property by a qualified professional to ascertain the condition of the asset. This is then followed by development of a report that provides a detailed elemental breakdown of the building and identification of the works required over the determined forecast period, including cost estimations.

Knight Frank Australia provides our clients a one-stop service, from our initial advice and recommendations, through to successful implementation of the works by our in-house Project Management team, if required.
