Matthew commenced work with Knight Frank Tasmania in 1995 as a valuer involved in the valuation of various property classes for security purposes and asset reporting purposes. In 1999 Matthew was appointed Associate Director in charge of Valuation/Consultancy at Knight Frank. In that time he was responsible for the growth of the department including a team of five residential and two commercial valuers. Following an equity merger in 2010, the department became a specialist commercial service provider and Matthew was elevated to director. His valuation experience covers a broad range of real estate including general and specialised industrial property (statewide), central commercial office buildings (statewide), valuation of specialist asset categories in the Hotel and Tourism sector (statewide), valuation of neighbourhood shopping centres, property consulting services to State and Local Government, and valuation of various asset classes for accounting purposes. Matthew’s areas of specialisation include office complexes, shopping centres, industrial complexes and portfolio and prospectus valuations for commercial property.
