National Volunteering Week: Using our time and skills to support Redfern Jarjum College
National Volunteering Week is a chance to pause and think about where your time or skills might make a real difference.

At Knight Frank Australia, we offer two days dedicated volunteering leave each year to all our people, creating space to step away from day-to-day work and support causes they care about.
One way this comes to life is through our partnership with Redfern Jarjum College, an independent primary school in Sydney supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.
Over time, that partnership has become something practical and consistent. It is not about one-off moments, but about people continuing to show up in ways that are useful. Here are three recent examples.
In March, Photographer Laura Garcia Cobo volunteered her time at the College’s Graduation and Mob on the Move fundraising event, also taking part in the Harbour Bridge walk alongside the school community. The images she captured are now helping the College share its story with a wider audience.
Katy Davis, Partner and Head of Creative Services, supports the College through ongoing design work. She creates materials such as the Annual Impact Report and brand resources, helping the College communicate its work and impact more clearly.
In December, Knight Frank’s NSW Leasing team spent a morning at the school during the holidays, helping to clean and get the grounds ready for summer. This hands-on work really makes a difference for students and staff.
In all these examples, the idea is simple. People use their time, skills, or both to support something important.
For our team, volunteering leave makes this possible. For everyone else, National Volunteering Week is a reminder that even small, regular contributions can make a big difference.
