_The power of pathways in property: Kaleb’s journey from Knight Frank to McGrath
After getting his start in property at Knight Frank Australia as a Bandu student, Kaleb Ward has taken the next step in his real estate career, joining McGrath Estate Agents. It is an outcome we are incredibly proud of and a powerful example of what success looks like through our partnership with Bandu.
We believe that when young people have real opportunities and the right support, they gain the confidence and skills to shape their own futures. That belief sits at the heart of our partnership with Bandu.
Kaleb’s story brings this to life. A proud Wiradjuri man from Singleton, NSW, Kaleb joined Knight Frank Australia in 2025 through our Bandu student program while studying Business at UTS. He worked part time with our Agency team in Parramatta and later with our Asset Management Services team in Sydney, gaining his first experience in the property industry while balancing university life.
Through our partnership with Bandu, we offer part time roles that fit around study, helping First Nations students move from education into employment. Bandu is a majority First Nations led charity and social enterprise that supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students through this important transition, providing wellbeing support, training, guidance and corporate placements.
For Kaleb, his time at Knight Frank was about more than learning the basics of real estate. He built confidence in a professional setting, developed practical skills and formed connections that helped clarify his next steps.
That foundation has now supported Kaleb’s move into his new Sales Associate role with McGrath Estate Agents, based in their Maroubra office in Sydney. McGrath is part of the wider Knight Frank network, following the joint acquisition of a majority stake alongside our New Zealand partners, Bayleys, in 2024. Kaleb’s progression reflects the strength of those connections and the role they can play in creating meaningful career pathways across the property sector.
Because success is not just about where someone stays. It's about where they are able to go next.
