_ESG Sustainability Reporting Event
Mandatory sustainability reporting is upon us. On 26 June, the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) released its new sustainability standards, and its impacts on Australian real estate managers and investors are now becoming increasingly clear.
We recently hosted a client event in our Sydney office where Jenine Cranston (Partner, Head of ESG, Knight Frank Australia) was joined by keynote speaker, Aletta Boshoff (BDO) and panellist, Matthew Shorten (Trellis Technologies) who shared invaluable insights into the major changes that are underway for mandatory sustainability reporting. The team broke down how these ambitious standards will require companies to adopt a systematic approach for collecting and analysing data across the network, including supply chains.
Some of the key topics our ESG experts unpacked, included:
- The sustainability reporting requirements being implemented in Australia.
- How your organisation will be affected and when.
- Practical guidance for real estate investors – both institutional and private - on how to prepare, organise and act on the new reporting requirements.
- Learnings and pitfalls to avoid on your sustainability reporting journey.
