_The foundations of high-quality real estate
Yet it is these thoughtfully considered details and the efforts of those behind the stunning Crown Residences at One Barangaroo that place its rendition of luxury, a tune to be enjoyed only by the lucky few who have jumped at the opportunity to own their piece of Sydney harbourside, cosily in the splendour of the clouds.
From the Tuscan seaside and northern Greece to coastal China, the Crown design team traversed the planet to source the finest premium materials to bring their vision to life for the one-of-a-kind residences.

The vision, says Todd Nisbet, Crown Resorts, was founded on a recognition that ultra-prime buyers expect a level of quality not just in design, but in the source materials, that requires a bespoke, direct to supplier approach.
"We knew that to really hit the level of luxury envisioned for Crown Residences at One Barangaroo we needed to go above and beyond – for every residence to be fitted with the very best of the best, materials not found at run-of-the-mill suppliers, while still tying back and staying true to the design."
“Over the course of a number of weeks, we visited suppliers around the world to select materials that are both high in quality and aesthetic appeal, as well as practicality. The foundations of the residences, in terms of raw materials, were chosen with the view of delivering unparalleled luxury that holds up over time, like any good investment should,” said Todd Nisbet.
The fruits of this quest for the world’s finest materials will be on show all throughout the residences. There are stony odes to Carrarra, Italy in the way of Mont Blanc Natural Quartzite and Belvedere in the living room and as the kitchen feature stone, as well as Calacatta Cielo in the powder room vanity, and White Pearl in the corridor feature floor. A little piece of Thessaloniki, Greece features via Volakas in the master bathroom walls, Aliveri in the secondary bathroom floor and vanity, and Elba Blue in the secondary bathroom walls. While in the master bathroom floor and vanities, stunning Noir St Laurent from Xiamen in southeast China does its part to sing a song of luxury.

But it’s not just in the stone that residents will notice the attention to detail gone into creating these incredible living quarters. Nearly everything in the building is custom made – the millwork, furniture, carpets and more have all been conceived with supreme dedication to their unique craft. The light fixtures, for example, are remarkably designed, and are the result of a trip to the flagship Preciosa in Prague and journey up to Czechia’s Crystal Valley, a region that has perfected this crystal technique with a long-spanning heritage of making light fixtures.
