_Knight Frank delivers brand new End of Trip & Wellness Facility for Rest

In partnership with Rest, Knight Frank Project Management & Building Consultancy ("PMBC") have successfully delivered another base building refurbishment project at 717 Bourke Street, Melbourne; new End of Trip and Wellness Facilities.

Working alongside the Knight Frank Asset Management Services on-site team of Julie True, George Fitzpatrick, and Victoria Gonzalez, Knight Frank PMBC, led by Paul Kennedy, Partner, Head of Project Management & Building Consultancy, VIC, managed the project on behalf of Retail Employees Superannuation Trust ("Rest").

Designed by Gray Puksand and constructed by MPA, “Equilibrium” is a high quality facility focused on tenant wellness, offering 27 deluxe showers, 443 ventilated lockers, 167 bicycle spaces, shoe storage, towel service and ironing stations, as well as relaxation space, and a multi-purpose area where fitness/yoga classes can be facilitated for tenants.

A dedicated bike storage area with access from street level, repair facilities and a variety of storage types suits different users, bike types and adds a level of security.

Premium fixtures, fittings and joinery combined with functionality have been used to create a change facility that exudes a quality that resonates with 717 Bourke Street as a premier building, with a fresh yet calm, contemporary aesthetic. Honest materials and exposed finishes create a tailored journey entering from the street, through parking a bike or warming down and transitioning through a day-spa style environment to emerge ready, revitalised and refreshed.

Knight Frank PMBC provided professional Project Management and Cost Consultancy Services for this exciting project from initial feasibility, design team procurement and management, cost planning, statutory approvals, contractor procurement through to project management of the works on site.

The construction phase of the project was completed in 12 weeks and is now open to tenants of the building.
