Adam, who has 14 years’ experience in the prestige residential market and Oliver, who has nine years’ experience, have collectively sold 17 homes in Sydney with values in excess of $10 million each.

Ms Cullen said the wealth of experience and unparalleled skill in prime residential sales the new additions would bring to Knight Frank’s Prestige Residential team strengthens the firm’s presence in a growing sector of the Australian market.

"This team will continue to focus primarily on prestige Australian residential sales of over A$3 million and assist our ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients with a full portfolio advisory service."

Deborah Cullen continues: "With the prestige market remaining consistently strong in 2019, it is a wonderful time to add expertise into our team to work with some best in class stock coming on the market this spring and summer. In particular, we are seeing incredible demand from Australian expats living around the globe for prestige homes in the blue ribbon areas in Sydney, especially the waterfront locations."

Knight Frank Australia Partner and Chief Executive Officer Rod Leaver said: “This is an exciting time for the Australian Prestige Residential team to expand its presence and join colleagues in the global network of prime agents positioned in key markets around the world. Knight Frank’s Prestige Residential team has a truly global reach - in addition to strong connections in Asia Pacific, the UK, Africa, and throughout Europe and the Middle East, Knight Frank is partnered with Douglas Elliman Fine Homes in the US. Our newly expanded Prime Residential team in Australia, led by Deborah Cullen and along with our new Private Office partners, is positioned to act as a global team, providing streamlined service around the network to give our clients access to the very best in the market. Our global sales network is involved with the most prestigious residential properties around the world. We are a luxury brand and we pride ourselves on our ability to build long-term relationships, allowing us to provide personalised, clear and considered advice to some of the world’s wealthiest individuals.”

Knight Frank’s Global Head of Residential Andrew Hay adds, “We are very excited to be expanding our Prestige Residential team in Sydney, with two talented and experienced agents. Over the last five years, Sydney’s ultra-high-net-worth population has seen significant growth of 12%, with further important growth predicted over the coming years. Sydney remains a top six destination for the world’s ultra-high-net-worth, and ensuing we have the right team in place in this key market has been vital in being able to offer our clients a truly global service. This expanded and expert team will link with our global prime team who last year achieved record Super Prime sales in New York City, London, Paris, Italy, Singapore and Sydney. Our aim is to expose the world’s best assets to the highly mobile UHNW global community.”

Knight Frank’s Head of Residential Research Australia Michelle Cieleski has seen Sydney’s prime market mature over the past five years, with capital values growing by 51.7%, while the mainstream market rose by 25.4%. This has been supported by the 12% growth in the number of ultra-high-net-worth individuals in Sydney over the past five years, and it’s projected Sydney’s ultra-wealthy population will surpass 1,000 by 2023.

The announcement of the expansion of Knight Frank’s Prestige Residential team follows the recent expansion of Knight Frank’s Private Office to Australia. The newly formed Private Office, based in Sydney and led by Knight Frank joint national partners Sarah Harding and Kymbal Dunne will offer a fully-integrated residential and commercial real estate advisory team, which will advise and transact for high-net-worth clients, family offices and their advisers.
