A commercial insight with Knight Frank’s Capital Markets team
December 04, 2018

What do you do?

I lead the Western Sydney business and am the Head of Metropolitan Sales NSW at Knight Frank. As we grow to dominate our market, I am particularly focused on ensuring our clients receive great value from our service across all our capabilities in the Sydney market.

How did your career path lead to you working for Knight Frank?

I had been working in the industry for a number of years when I was first approached to join Knight Frank, and I was immediately intrigued by the opportunity for career growth they had to offer. The passion and pride they had in their own company is a rare commodity in our business and it was something I wanted to be part of.

What are the biggest opportunities you see in your job?

To really dominate the Western Sydney region across all sectors in the industry.  Not one of our competitors in Western Sydney have got this right across all sectors (Industrial, AMS, Leasing, Metro Sales).

If you had a different job, what would it be?

Professional surfer.  The lifestyle of travelling around the world whilst being paid to surf the best breaks and wearing board shorts to work each day is very appealing.  Unfortunately that was never an option for me!

What are your favourite pastimes/hobbies?

Obviously surfing. Most people don’t know, but I have a stock horse named Donny which lives on the family property in the Hunter Valley.  I like to ride most weekends with my wife and generally just get out of the city and escape to the country.

What is your number one work mantra or advice?

You can only ask the question, the worst they can ever say is no
