Tim Armstrong, Partner, Head of Industrial, Australia has accepted a new role as Asia Pacific Head of Business Development, Occupier Services
November 07, 2018

Knight Frank announces Tim Armstrong will relocate to Singapore in early 2019 to join the Asia-Pacific team and focus on both office and industrial occupiers.

Tim’s appointment to this newly created role is part of Knight Frank’s strategy to bolster the OSCA service line and to provide opportunities for our people to grow in their roles. In the past six months alone, Knight Frank has set up new project management teams in Singapore and Hong Kong, appointed Dermot Lowry as the new Head of Occupier Services in Australia and expanded its workplace capability in the UK, Europe and in parts of Asia-Pacific.

In 2007, Tim commenced his career with Knight Frank as a Sales and Leasing Executive in Brisbane, Australia. He relocated to Sydney in 2015 to run the New South Wales Industrial team and later went on to lead the industrial business across Australia. Working closely with Project Management teams, Tim spearheaded efforts to win industrial occupier instructions, including new pre-lease distribution centres for Mitre 10 (30,000 sqm), BevChain Logistics (35,000 sqm) and IMCD (8,000 sqm), as well as the disposal and acquisition of assets for clients like Boral and Sealy Bedding.

Kevin Coppel, Regional Head of Asia Pacific, said: “Tim’s appointment demonstrates our desire and ability to move talented people around our global business. Tim is a self-starter and very much used to winning work ‘off his own bat’ from both significant institutional and private clients. Tim has been instrumental in helping our Australian business grow their market share in the industrial space, and we are delighted Tim has taken this new opportunity with Knight Frank.”

Tim added: “While our competitors are pursuing the top 50 largest, US-based companies, I believe there is an opportunity to offer a tailored, personal service to non-US companies – particularly those with a headquarters in Asia-Pacific – which may not be getting much attention. My focus will be to develop relationships with these companies and to secure opportunities for our Asia-Pacific businesses and I’m excited to get started.”
