_Crows Nest Metro – Integrated Station Development

Call for community feedback
July 05, 2018

Transport for NSW (TfNSW) has released the long awaited Crows Nest Integrated Station Development documentation for early community consultation and feedback. Yesterday’s announcement precedes the anticipated release of the St Leonards/Crows Nest Precinct Plan (Planned Precinct), with the Station Precinct being identified as a Strategic Centre in the Greater Sydney Commission’s (GSC) North District Plan.

TfNSW is seeking early community engagement in the processes before the requesting Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs). This early consultation period closes on Sunday 29 July, 2018.

The Integrated Station concept includes four buildings: two residential buildings, a commercial building and a fourth building which could be a hotel or a commercial building, above an expansive podium and subterranean station. The metro stations have been designed so that work on the buildings above can start while the station construction is underway.  The integrated approach means buildings can be completed close to when Sydney Metro City & Southwest services start in 2024.

Key Details

2 x 27 storey residential buildings

17 Storey building as either commercial/hotel

8 storey commercial building (Hume Street)

Up to 350 new dwellings

Approximately 900 jobs
