_New West Perth Apartment Development Unveiled
The development will be one of the first eligible for the State Government’s new 75% transfer duty rebate of up to $50,000. The rebate will benefit purchasers of new, multi-tiered residential apartments that have not yet started construction, so long as they sign pre-construction contracts.
Knight Frank has been appointed as the exclusive selling agent to bring the 60 apartments to the market, and has started taking registrations of interest.

Located on Colin Street in the ‘village heart’ of West Perth, West Quarter has been designed by multi award-winning architects HASSELL and promises to be a stunning, 14 level residential oasis within walking distance of the Perth CBD.
The development has been specifically tailored to stand out in the marketplace and appeal to buyers looking for larger apartments but within a smaller development. Due to the boutique nature of West Quarter, there are only four apartments per floor in the tower and only six apartments per floor in the podium. With an entry price of $479,000 there are a variety of apartment configurations on offer including a one bedroom residence with separate study, two bedroom/two bathroom (with or without study) and three bedroom penthouses. The smallest one-bedroom apartment extends to 63 sqm of internal strata living plus a 35 sqm terrace area. A particular feature of the 18 apartments on the podium levels is that most have a large terrace area, ranging from 24 sqm to 94 sqm.

Partner of Residential, WA, Neil Kay, said West Quarter would be consistent in terms of the high quality as with other Aria Land projects, such as Freshwater in Claremont. Aria Land was also the Development Manager for Echelon in South Perth and Ten Bellevue in West Perth. Ten Bellevue was awarded the HIA’s 2018 Australian and Western Australian Apartment of the Year.
“In addition to the quality of its developments’ design and construction, Aria Land always selects the most enviable locations for its residential developments, and this is no exception,” Mr Kay said.
“West Quarter benefits from the proximity to an abundance of lifestyle amenities that West Perth, Subiaco and the CBD offers. The developer has also responded to market feedback that ongoing home ownership costs are a major buyer consideration, particularly for downsizers. Therefore, a prime objective to minimise strata fees has been achieved, largely through avoiding the provision of communal facilities. We are fortunate also to have the Next Generation fitness centre, literally at the end of the street”, commented Mr Kay.
West Perth also offers excellent public transport; West Quarter is on the route of the free CAT bus service to the CBD and a few minutes’ walk from the West Perth train station. The location further benefits from being easy walking distance to King’s Park and the CBD, is served by the Hay St retail and café strip, and a wide range of nearby restaurants.

“Perth Modern School is situated only 700 m from the development and the brand-new Bob Hawke College, which opens next year, is less than 1.5 km away. UWA and the Children’s Hospital are also less than 5 km from West Quarter”.
Mr Kay said the new transfer duty rebate was another bonus for West Quarter and was available for multiple rebates by the same applicant for additional unit or apartment purchases within the same or different developments.
