The multi-million dollar development in Melbourne is expected to be the most high-tech residential building in Australia, pushing luxury apartments to new heights.

The Muse Melbourne, developed by Devitt Property Group, is set to become one of the most exclusive new addresses on Melbourne’s most recognisable boulevard, St Kilda Road. The ultra-luxe residence, due to be completed in late 2021, is set to be the pinnacle of Melbourne’s luxury apartment market. 

Devitt Property Group has been in collaboration with Bruce Henderson Architects to deliver the next generation of luxury, focusing on personalisation. The concept behind The Muse is described by Kane Devitt, “to be a home that is truly customizable, where each residence is given the freedom to mould their homes to suit each individual’s specific requirements”. 

The 14-storey, next-level tower, has already generated local and national interest, and will comprise of an exclusive collection of only 42 residences that range from about 240 – 1,000 sqm in size, and offers three, four and five bedroom homes. 

Each home will benefit from a minimum of three garage spaces, penthouse quality finishes, large terraces and three-meter ceilings. These features also come in addition to a residents’ club lounge with private meeting rooms, 24/7 concierge services and a gymnasium equipped with a spa.

Redefining penthouse living, the five-bedroom, six-bathroom home is surrounded by breathtaking 360-degree views of the CBD, Port Phillip Bay, Albert Park Lake and the Royal Botanic Gardens. The opulent penthouse residence includes its own swimming pool, billiard room, wine room, gym, ornamental spiral staircase. 

Each residence offers something unique for buyers; it offers a life beyond luxury, accomplished through the use of technology to enhance and protect a resident’s living quarters. Facial, fingerprint and numberplate recognition technology will be installed in the ultra-luxe development amongst other security measures, opting away from keys and smartcards. The premises will also have a duress alarm system, CCTV system with facial recognition technology and intruder detection systems.

Arriving at The Muse, residents’ are immediately exposed to the hi-tech home automation system. A dedicated lift will be waiting as soon residents enter the building, each resident will be able to automatically turn on lights, air-conditioning, heating, or kettle upon arrival through an app that can be controlled remotely. 

Once inside their home, residents are able to control everything using voice control, from turning on their lights, television, and even the oven from the comfort of their couch or bed. Aware that owners will be travelling overseas frequently for work, the homes have the option to be equipped with circadian rhythm lights to help residents adjust to changes in their body clocks.  

Melbourne’s luxury residential market has performed strongly in recent years. The Knight Frank Wealth Report ranked Melbourne in 11th place amongst global cities for growth in luxury real estate value with 5.4% annual growth in Q2 2018.
